Bibbins Named NABC All-District

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Utah senior Justin Bibbins has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District Team, the organization announced today. Bibbins was named a second team selection out of District 20.

Bibbins, who also earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors just this past week, leads the Runnin’ Utes with a 14.6 points per game scoring average, a .467 three-point shooting percentage and 145 assists on the season. The Carson, Calif., native has knocked down 82 three-pointers on the season, which currently ranks tied for fifth all-time in single-season school history. His .467 three-point shooting percentage currently ranks second-highest for a single season in school history.

Bibbins is the fourth different player in the past five seasons to earn NABC All-District honors. He joins former Utes Kyle Kuzma (2017, 2nd Team), Jakob Poeltl (2016, 1st Team) and Delon Wright (2015, 1st Team; 2014, 2nd Team).

Joining Bibbins on the NABC District 20 Second Team were Arizona’s Alonzo Trier, Washington’s Noah Dickerson, UCLA’s Thomas Welsh and USC’s Chimezie Metu. First Team honors went to Arizona’s DeAndre Ayton, UCLA’s Aaron Holiday, USC’s Jordan McLaughlin, Stanford’s Reid Travis and Arizona State’s Tra Holder.

Bibbins and the Utes earned the No. 2 seed in the NIT and will host No. 7-seeded UC Davis on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Huntsman Center.
