SALT LAKE CITY-Zach Humphreys, Kevin Padlo and Jack Lopez each homered and the Salt Lake Bees routed El Paso 11-4 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark to conclude the series.

Hayden Seig earned the win on the mound for the Bees to improve to 1-0 on the season. Salt Lake secured the series win with Sunday’s victory.

Tirso Ornelas homered in the loss for the Chihuahuas.

Salt Lake improved to 51-56 on the season while El Paso fell to 47-61.

The Bees return to action Tuesday at 7:35 pm for a six-game series at Reno against the Aces.

Pioneer League

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Ron Washington homered twice while Joe Johnson, Jaylen Hubbard, Jacob Cruce and Matt Golda also homered as the Grand Junction Jackalopes outgunned Ogden 27-15 Sunday at Suplizio Field. Trey Morrill posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Jackalopes. Damian Henderson homered twice and Dane Tofteland also went yard in the loss for the Raptors.

The Raptors return to action Monday at 6:30 pm to host the Rocky Mountain Vibes at Lindquist Field.
