Bees Win Second Straight Over El Paso Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY-David Fletcher and Brandon Drury homered and the Salt Lake Bees smacked El Paso 9-4 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark. Jake Kalish posted three strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Kalish improved to 5-8 on the season for Salt Lake. Tim Lopes, Jose Azocar and Taylor Kohlwey each drove in a run in the loss for the Chihuahuas. With their second straight win, Salt Lake improved to 49-55 on the season while El Paso fell to 46-59. The Bees and Chihuahuas return to action Friday at 6:35 pm. A fireworks show will follow the game at Smith’s Ballpark.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Damian Henderson homered and the Ogden Raptors edged Rocky Mountain 9-6 Thursday at UCHealth Park. Jake Mulholland posted three strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Mulholland is 7-1 on the season for Ogden. Jacob Barfield homered twice for the Vibes. The Raptors next visit Grand Junction Friday at 5:35 pm at Suplizio Field.
