SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Nick Madrigal drove in three runs and the Salt Lake Bees outlasted Sacramento 6-5 Friday at The Ballpark at America First Square. Dylan Phillips netted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake. Osleivis Basabe drove in three runs for the River Cats in the loss as Sacramento scored three runs in the 8th to make things close after the Bees controlled much of the game.
Following Friday’s results, the Bees improved to 2-4 on the season and the River Cats slumped to 3-3. Salt Lake can achieve the series win with a victory Saturday. Opening pitch is slated for 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
