Bees Navigate Through Weather Delay To Earn Series Split Against Round Rock

SALT LAKE CITY-Zach Humphreys scored on a loaded bases walk and Jordyn Adams added an RBI single in a productive 8th Inning as the Salt Lake Bees outlasted Round Rock 8-6 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark.

The win, which salvages a split in the series for the Bees, came after a ran delay of 63 minutes following the 6th Inning with the Express nursing a 6-4 lead.

Trey Cabbage added his 16th home run of the season in victory for the Bees, who improved to 30-33.

Cam Vieaux posted one strikeout in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake. Vieaux is 3-3 on the season for the Bees.

Jonathan Ornelas homered twice in the loss for Round Rock as the Express falls to 35-28 following Sunday’s result.

The Bees return to action Tuesday at Oklahoma City for a six-game series against the Dodgers.

OGDEN, Utah-The Idaho Falls Chukars outlasted Ogden 9-8 Sunday in the knockout round to conclude the series. Zach May belted a grand slam for the Chukars. Reese Alexiades homered in the loss for the Raptors.

The Raptors return to action Tuesday at Boise for a three-game series. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at Memorial Stadium.
