SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Niko Kavadas, Jose Siri and Denzer Guzman homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed Sacramento 13-5 to win their first game of the season in the home opener at The Ballpark at America First Square. Samy Natera Jr. posted three strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Victor Bericoto, Buddy Kennedy, Grant McCray, Jake Holton and Nate Furman drove in a run apiece in the loss for the River Cats.
The squads return to action Tuesday at 6:35 pm for the second game in the series.
