RENO, Nev.-Omar Martinez, Niko Kavadas and Denzer Guzman homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed Reno 5-2 Sunday at Greater Nevada Field, concluding the series with two wins in the past three games.
Dylan Phillips netted a strikeout in 3.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
LuJames Groover and Jack Hurley each drove in a run in the loss for the Aces.
Following Sunday’s results, the Bees improved to 5-10 and the Aces slumped to 9-6.
Salt Lake returns home to The Ballpark at America Square next week for a six-game series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys. Opening pitch for the series opener on Tuesday is slated for 6:35 pm.
