Bees Edge Dodgers; Win Series Sunday

OKLAHOMA CITY-Jack Lopez homered and the Salt Lake Bees edged Oklahoma City 4-3 Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

This win clinched the series win for the Bees as they prevailed 3-2 over the Pacific Coast League-leading Dodgers.

Luis Ledo posted three strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Ledo is 2-0 on the season for Salt Lake.

Bryson Brigman drove in two run in defeat for the Dodgers.

The Bees conclude the series at 33-35 while Oklahoma City fell to 47-21.

Salt Lake returns to action Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark for a six-game series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys. The Bees celebrate Smith’s Family Night with a 6:35 pm opening pitch.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Sam Troyer, Tyler Wyatt and Mark Herron Jr. each homered and the Idaho Falls Chukars bested Ogden 11-7 Sunday to conclude this 3-game series at Lindquist Field.

Victor Rodriguez posted four strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Idaho Falls.

Nick Ultsch drove in two runs in defeat for the Raptors.

The Chukars improved to 11-13 on the season and the Raptors fell to 14-10 with the loss.

Ogden returns to action Tuesday at 11:35 am at Rocky Mountain.
