SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Nick Madrigal drove in two runs and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Sugar Land 8-3 Tuesday at The Ballpark at America Square to start off the series on the right note.
Angel Perdomo netted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake.
CJ Alexander homered in the loss for the Space Cowboys.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Bees, winners of three of their last four, improved to 6-10 while Sugar Land fell to 10-6. The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square for the second game in the series.
