WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Eric Wagaman homered and the Salt Lake Bees waxed Sacramento 5-1 Friday in Pacific Coast League play at Sutter Health Park.
Reid Detmers posted 11 strikeouts in eight innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Christian Koss drove in a run in defeat for the River Cats.
Following Friday’s results, the Bees improved to 56-61 while the River Cats fell to 62-56.
The Bees can take the lead in the series with a win Saturday. Opening pitch is slated for 7:37 pm at Sutter Health Park.
