SALT LAKE CITY-Jake Marisnick and Chad Wallach homered and the Salt Lake Bees dismantled Round Rock 3-1 Thursday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.
Reid Detmers posted nine strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Justin Foscue homered in defeat for the Express.
Following Thursday’s results, the Bees, winners of five of their last seven, improved to 59-63 while the Express fell to 60-61.
The squads return to action Friday for a 6:35 pm opening pitch at Smith’s Ballpark.
