LAS VEGAS-Niko Kavadas homered and the Salt Lake Bees doubled up Las Vegas 8-4 Thursday at Las Vegas Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Brett Kerry posted three strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Bryan Lavastida homered in the loss for the Aviators.
Following Thursday’s results, the Bees improved to 64-82 and the Aviators slumped to 81-66.
In the second half of the season, the Bees improved to 35-37 and increased their lead in the second half over Las Vegas to three games.
The Bees and Aviators return to action Friday at 8:05 pm at Las Vegas Ballpark in the fourth game of this series.
