LAS VEGAS-Bryan Lavastida’s RBI single in the bottom of the 9th lifted the Las Vegas Aviators to a 4-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees Tuesday at Las Vegas Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Anthony Maldonado posted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for Las Vegas.
Brandon Drury homered in defeat for the Bees.
Following Tuesday’s results, the Aviators improved to 81-64 and the Bees fell to 62-82.
The squads return to action Wednesday at Las Vegas Ballpark for the second game in the series. Opening pitch is slated for 7:35 pm.
