IRVING, Texas-Monday, BYU freshman guard/forward AJ Dybantsa was named as the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
Dybantsa averaged 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game in losses to Oklahoma State and Houston, while shooting just under 65 percent from the floor.
Dybantsa and his BYU teammates return to action Tuesday evening at Baylor as the Cougars seek to snap a slide that has seen them lose four consecutive games and five of their last six.
