During the March 19th Heber City Council Meeting Councilman Ron Crittenden motioned that Red Ledges will uphold their 2007 agreement to complete their portion of the eastern bypass by October 31 2019. Previously reported, Todd Cates had requested the city provide an extension for at least another year or more.
“I’m giving Red Ledges notice so they might plan accordingly, I move that Heber City deny any further extension of obligations under their fourth extension to the interlocal agreement dated February 21, 2007. To construct their agreed portion of the eastern bypass road. Heber City expects, and that the majority of the council agrees to a satisfactory agreed alternative that the said road is to be completed by October 31, 2019 as agreed or else the mutual agreed condition of no further of Red Ledges base approvals shall be applied.”
Crittenden’s motioned carried additional weight by adding that no additional building approvals on developments would be applied. Councilman Jeff Smith added later in the conversation that Heber City should also be held accountable to build their portion of the eastern bypass on the north end of the cemetery within the next two years. Motion was approved unanimously.
