OGDEN, Utah-Wednesday, Weber County officials announced they are investigating a suspicious death after finding a woman’s body in Ogden.
Just before 6:00 pm Tuesday, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a possible dead body in the 400 Ogden Canyon Area, per statements from Sheriff’s Lt. Courtney Ryan in a press release.
As authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered the woman’s body in the area.
Officials from Weber County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Weber County Attorney’s Office and Weber-Morgan CSI, responded to the scene.
Investigators stated they are “actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death,” per the release.
Authorities confirmed they are treating this death as “suspicious” but do not believe there is presently any danger to the public.
The incident is under investigation. Anyone who may have seen something “suspicious” in the area between Sunday morning and Tuesday evening has been asked to call the sheriff’s office at 1-801-778-6631.
The Weber County Sheriff’s Office conducted a press conference at 4:30 pm to release further information on the investigation.
