(Salt Lake City, UT) — Former Utah Utes football coach Kyle Whittingham is denying accusations from his former players that he made them play while injured. Yesterday on the Dan Patrick Show, Whittingham insisted he has never overruled a decision by his medical staff. Last week, the Salt Lake Tribune published an article in which six former players raised questions about the way injuries were handled by Whittingham. He’s now the head coach at Michigan.
