Utah’s Snowpack and Water Supply Are in Good Shape Across the State

SALT LAKE CITY-In Thursday statements, Utah state hydrologist Brian McInerney confirmed Utah’s snowpack and water supply state-wide are in good shape.

McInerney credits three distinct water patterns for this currently propitious condition for the Beehive State.

The first occurred in November/December 2019 which saw heavy rain and mountain snow descend upon southern Utah.

Several winter storms then hammered northern Utah in January and February while, presently, southern Utah is getting significant amounts of snow.

McInerney said that the only thing that can spoil this present condition is a long pattern of warm weather this spring in Utah.

The 10-day forecast for Heber City, as of 4:59 pm Thursday afternoon calls for temperatures primarily in the mid-50’s with several chances for snow and rain during this period.
