Utah Tech President Williams Stepping Down

(St. George, UT) — Utah Tech University President Richard “Biff” Williams is stepping down. Williams announced yesterday that he’ll leave the St. George school he’s led for ten years effective January 5th. Williams said he’s pursuing other professional opportunities. He’s currently interviewing for administrative positions at other colleges and universities. Williams came to Utah Tech in 2014, the year after it was designated a university. He also oversaw last year’s name change from Dixie State University to Utah Tech University. Associate vice president of executive affairs and chief of staff Courtney White will be named interim president.
