UT Lawsuit Filed Over Inland Port Projects

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A new lawsuit is taking aim at Utah’s inland port project. It claims the port authority had no legal right to form a board under control of the Legislature. Two nonprofits call it a constitutional violation, arguing Governor Cox is supposed to make appointments. The suit alleges projects have been fast-tracked throughout the state, threatening the Great Salt Lake Basin. UIPA’s executive director maintains they’re doing everything by the book.
