SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the latest data for covid-19 in the Beehive State was updated by the state department of health.
Since statistics began being kept, there have been 44,752 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 362 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 99 in the same span.
Currently, 578,549 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 3,989 in the same span.
The positive test percentage continued its marginal oscillation Tuesday as it slightly rose to 7.73 percent. It has bounced between 7.72 and 7.73 percent for the past four days in Utah.
The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 9.07 percent Tuesday from Monday’s 6.66 percent.
There have been 34,764 recoveries from covid-19 in the Beehive State per Tuesday’s report. This is an increase of 445 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 40 in the same span.
Presently, 77.68 percent of all covid-19 cases in Utah are recovered.
There are currently 9,638 active cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is a decrease of 88 in the past 24 hours.
21.53 percent of all covid-19 cases in Utah are currently active.
The differential between recovered and active cases in Utah is currently 25,126, or a net increase of 533 in the past 24 hours.
There have been 2,677 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This represents an increase of 35 in the past 24 hours.
Current hospitalizations for covid-19 dropped by four in the past 24 hours, falling to 189. This caused the percentage to fall to 7.06 percent of all-time hospitalizations in Utah for covid-19 being currently hospitalized.
Presently, there are 81 current covid-19 hospitalizations in ICU. This is an increase of two in the past 24 hours, causing the current covid-19 ICU hospitalization percentage to increase to 42.9 percent. Monday, this was at 40.9 percent.
As of Tuesday’s report, 60 percent of ICU is currently occupied.
There have been 349 deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of three in the past 24 hours.
This kept the death rate percentage equal to Monday’s figure at 0.779 percent.
In Wasatch County, there were eight new recorded cases of covid-19, bringing the net total to 576.
There have been 22 hospitalizations, an increase of one in the past 24 hours, and four deaths attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County per Tuesday’s report.
The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
