Trump Conducts Friday Press Briefing At White House

WASHINGTON-Friday, United States president Donald Trump conducted a press briefing at the White House, being joined by several other key figures of the White House coronavirus task force.

News was released that the Centers for Disease Control have released non-medical face coverings for the use of Americans to combat COVID-19.

While the Atlanta-based organization recommends they be worn in public, it is well understood that this is voluntary for all Americans.

Incidentally, Trump confirmed he had no plans to wear one.

Trump, who appeared to be more upbeat than previous briefings this week, also spoke of the reimbursement of hospitals for treating people who don’t have insurance should they become sick because of coronavirus.

Numerous entities in the U.S. have stepped up to assist those in need inasmuch as $3.5 billion in loans have been amassed, Trump confirmed.

Trump also gave special mention to Bank of America for stepping up in a time of need during his remarks.

As Trump concluded his statements, he said of the coronavirus, “You’ll see some bad things and then you’ll see some good things.”

Vice President Mike Pence then spoke and lauded Americans for their role in assisting with mitigation efforts.

Pence said that 1.4 million tests have occurred nationwide for coronavirus (In Utah, per statements shared by state epidemiologist Angela Dunn, more than 24,000 Utahns have been tested).

Abbott Laboratories presently has 18,000 machines in circulation to test for the disease and scientists are currently working on new antibody tests, he confirmed.

Pence also cited the efforts of Indian health care services for their “good work” on reservations throughout the country.

Pence concluded his statements by saying that “every American has a role to play,” speaking of ultimately vanquishing COVID-19.

White House Coronavirus Response Task Force Coordinator, Dr. Deborah Birx then concluded the proceedings by saying all Americans should be disciplined about the guidelines shared.
