Thursday Statistics For covid-19 in Utah updated

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, statistics were updated for covid-19 in the Beehive State by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 45,424 recorded cases of covid-19. This is an increase of 334 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of four in the same span.

There have been 584,656 Utahns tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 3,447 in the past 24 hours.

The current positive test percentage in Utah is 7.76 percent, slightly up from Wednesday’s 7.75 percent. The 24-hour positive test percentage for Utah dropped to 9.69 percent. Wednesday, this number was at 12.7 percent.

There have been 35,817 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 506 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 41 in the same span.

Currently, 78.85 percent of all covid-19 cases in Utah are recovered.

There are 9,254 active cases in the Beehive State presently. This is a decrease of 174 in the past 24 hours.

The current active case percentage in Utah is 20.4 percent.

The differential between recovered and active cases in Utah is currently 26,563. This is an increase of 680 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 2,721 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 25 in the past 24 hours.

Current hospitalizations dropped by 16 Thursday, to 184. This dropped the current covid-19 hospitalization percentage to 6.76 percent.

Of the 184, 74 are in ICU presently, or 40.2 percent of ICU. ICU is presently 66.8 percent occupied in the Beehive State.

There are two new deaths in Utah attributed to covid-19, bringing the net total to 353. This decreased the death percentage to 0.777 percent Thursday. Wednesday, this was at 0.778 percent.

Wasatch County saw one new case of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This increases the net total of cases to 584 in Wasatch County.

The hospitalizations (22) and deaths (4) attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County remain unchanged in the past 24 hours.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
