Thursday covid-19 stats for Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, the Utah Department of Health released the latest covid-19 statistics for the Beehive State.

There are currently 60,658 recorded cases of covid-19. This represents a net increase of 911 in the past 24 hours.

Of these, 50,108 are recovered, a net increase of 380 in the past 24 hours.

This caused the recovery rate to decrease to 82.6 percent.

There are presently 10,113 active cases of covid-19, or a net increase of 531 in the past 24 hours.

The current active case percentage is 16.67 percent.

Of the 3,401 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah, 120 (3.52 percent) are currently hospitalized. This is a slight increase from Wednesday’s 3.4 percent.

Of the 120, 54 are in ICU, or 45 percent. ICU is presently 69 percent occupied in Utah.

There were no new deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah Thursday as this total stays at 437.

This decreased the death percentage in Utah to 0.7204 percent.

In Wasatch County, there are six new recorded cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the net total to 687. The hospitalizations (31) and deaths (7) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours in Wasatch County.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.
