Thursday covid-19 Stats for Utah Updated

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, the latest update for covid-19 statistics for Utah was given by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 56,019 recorded cases of covid-19. This is an increase of 346 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 32 in the same span.

703,766 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 5,225 Utahns in the past 24 hours.

This decreased the positive test percentage to 7.95 percent. This was at 7.96 percent Wednesday.

The 24-hour positive test percentage decreased to 6.62 percent Thursday. Wednesday, this was at 9.83 percent.

There are 47,545 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 461 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 101 in the same span.

The recovery percentage increased to 84.87 percent. This is up from Wednesday’s 84.57 percent.

The gap between all-time cases and recoveries decreased to 8,474 Thursday. This is a net decrease of 115 in the past 24 hours.

There are presently 8,044 active cases in Utah. This is a net decrease of 118 in the past 24 hours. This dropped the active case percentage to 14.359 percent.

The differential between recoveries and active cases increased to 39,501 Thursday. This is an increase of 579 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 3,273 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19. This is an increase of 10 in the past 24 hours.

There are 118 current hospitalizations in Utah for covid-19. This is an increase of two in the past 24 hours. The current covid-19 hospitalization percentage marginally increased to 3.6 percent from Wednesday’s 3.55 percent. Of the 118, 48 are in ICU or 40.6 percent. 67.7 percent of ICU is currently occupied.

There are three new deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah, raising the net total to 430. This increased the death percentage to 0.767 percent.

In Wasatch County, there was one new recorded case of covid-19 in Wasatch County, raising the total to 430. The hospitalizations (28) and deaths (7) attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours remain unchanged.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.
