SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed three women have been called to the Young Women’s General Board of the Church. They are as follows:
Ruth Todd of the Parley’s 3rd ward in the Salt Lake Parley’s Stake. She has worked for 25 years as a television news anchor and reporter throughout the United States. She taught broadcast journalism at BYU and served as a member of the media team for Church public affairs and has also served as a Church spokesperson.
She has previously served as a stake Young Women president and as a counselor in both Young Women and Relief Society presidencies. She has also been a Gospel Doctrine teacher and a stake Young Women camp director.
Yvonne Hubert of the Alpine 10th Ward in the Alpine Utah West Stake. She served as a missionary in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. She has also served as a youth Sunday School teacher, a young woman’s president, a camp director and as a Primary president and teacher.
Jeri Cahoon of the Crestview Ward in the Salt Lake Monument Park Stake. She and her husband, Kevin, were mission leaders in the Mexico Saltillo Mission.
She has worked with senior missionaries while serving Spanish and Portuguese wards and branches in the mission presidency of the Salt Lake City Inner Mission. She has served in presidencies of the Young Women and Primary organizations and as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple.
