The Tabernacle Choir At Temple Square Adds International Members

SALT LAKE CITY-For the upcoming general conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square has added international members for the first time in history.

Choir President Michael O. Leavitt calls this pilot program a natural progression in the growth of the Choir.

This program also opens the doors for others who have exemplary musical skills, Leavitt stated.

The new temporary choir members from foreign nations include the following:

Alvaro Jorge Martins (Natal, Brazil)

Rodrigo Domaredzky (Curitiba, Brazil)

Thalita De Carvalho (São Paulo, Brazil)

Elisha RuboOreriba Joseph (Accra, Ghana)

Jonathan How (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Denisse Elorza Avalos (Tijuana, Mexico)

Georgina Montemayor Wong (Monterrey, Mexico)

Ronald Baa (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines)

Sundae Mae Indino (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines)

PeiShang Chung (Kylie Zhong) (Taipei, Taiwan).

The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square was founded August 22, 1847 and has performed in a weekly Sunday radio broadcast since July 15, 1929.
