The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Releases Renderings For New Temples

SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, during the last session of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ annual general conference, Church President Russell M. Nelson confirmed that even during closures of temples because of COVID-19, the work of temples would move forward.

President Nelson then proceeded to release the construction or renovations of other buildings in certain cases, of eight temples.

Tuesday, the Church released renderings of new temples that have not yet been constructed.

These temples are the Moses Lake Washington Temple, the Tooele Valley Utah Temple and the Washington County Temple.

This comes as project leaders file public documents relating to the temples’ design ahead of the eventual groundbreaking and ultimate construction at each site.

The Moses Lake Washington Temple is a single-story temple of approximately 20,000 square feet with a center spire.

The Tooele Valley Utah Temple is to be a three-story temple of approximately 70,000 square feet.

The Washington County Temple, which will be located in southeastern St. George, will be a three-story temple of approximately 90,000 feet. This will be St. George’s second temple upon completion.
