ST. GEORGE, Utah-Per Monday news, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced its temple at St. George will be rededicated December 10.
This will occur in sessions at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm that day.
The open house will run from September 15-November 11 with the exception of Sundays and Saturday September 30 (General Conference).
The dedicatory sessions will be broadcast to all congregations in the St. George Utah Temple District.
This temple was the first to be dedicated in Utah with then-Church President Wilford Woodruff dedicating it April 6-8, 1877.
It was rededicated November 11-12, 1975 by then-Church President Spencer W. Kimball.

Elder Issac Heninger of Searsville, New Brunswick, Canada passed away while serving on his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ at Clearfield, Utah while serving in the Utah Layton Mission.
Elder Heninger suffered a head injury and passed away at a Salt Lake City hospital in the early hours of May 8.
Elder Heninger attempted to jump over an electric scooter and sustained a head injury, resulting in his death.
Elder Heninger began his missionary service in December 2022.
