SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed four temples in the southern hemisphere are advancing to Phase 3 of reopening next month.
Under the Salt Lake City-based faith’s reopening protocols, Phase 3 consists of being reopened for all ordinances with restrictions.
With Australia Day occurring January 26, Australian Latter-day Saints receive a special gift as the Melbourne Temple is slated for Phase 3 February 1. Temples at Perth and Adelaide are slated for Phase 3 status February 8. On February 8, the Suva Fiji Temple is also slated to advance to Phase 3 of reopening.
No other temples worldwide were moved from current status Monday.
