SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, updated statistics were revealed for covid-19 in the Beehive State by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 46,321 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is increase of 345 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 207 in the past 24 hours.

This occurred despite a net increase of 553 more Utahns being tested in the same span.

Presently, 594,901 Utahns have been tested for covid-19, an increase of 5,714 in the past 24 hours.

The positive test percentage in the Beehive State dropped to 7.78 percent Saturday. Friday, it was at 7.79 percent.

The 24-hour positive test percentage slumped from 10.69 percent Friday to 6.03 percent Saturday.

There have been 37,346 recoveries from covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 667 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 195 recoveries in the same span.

The current covid-19 recovery percentage in Utah is 80.62 percent.

Currently, there are 8,613 active cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is a decrease of 324 in the past 24 hours.

The current active case percentage in the Beehive State is 18.59 percent.

There are presently 28,733 more recoveries than active cases in Utah. This is an increase of 991 in the past 24 hours.

Since statistics began being kept for covid-19 in the Beehive State, there have been 2,760 hospitalizations. This represents an increase of 16 in the past 24 hours.

There are 167 current covid-19 hospitalizations in Utah. This is a net decrease of 4 in the past 24 hours. The current covid-19 hospitalization percentage is 6.05 percent.

The covid-19 cases in ICU in the Beehive State experienced a net decrease of 5 in the past 24 hours, bringing Saturday’s total to 64. The current ICU hospitalization percentage in Utah for covid-19 is 38.32 percent. Friday, this was at 40.3 percent.

ICU is currently 66.5 percent occupied in Utah.

There have been 363 deaths attributed to covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is a net increase of three in the past 24 hours. The death percentage in Utah remains unchanged from Friday, staying at 0.783 percent.

In Wasatch County, there were four new recorded cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the net total to 592. The hospitalizations (23) and deaths (4) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours in Wasatch County per Saturday’s figures.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
