Pro-Palestinian Protestors Disrupt University Of Utah Commencement Ceremony

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A group of pro-Palestinian protestors disrupted the start of the commencement ceremony at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Center yesterday. The group stood up and shouted “Free Palestine” among other statements, which were met by boos from the crowd. University President Taylor Randall told the protestors that while they had a right to express their viewpoint, they didn’t have a right to disrupt the celebration. The protestors walked outside, and were met with cheers from other demonstrators.
