Navajo Nation Reports 12 Confirmed Deaths, 270 Positive Tests For Coronavirus

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz.-Friday, per a report from the Navajo Department of Health and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, the Navajo Nation has reached 214 positive tests for COVID-19 and seven confirmed deaths from the disease.

In San Juan County, Utah there are seven positive COVID-19 tests. Navajo County (Ariz.) has the most positive cases on the Navajo Nation with 122.

Navajo Police Chief Phillip B. Francisco said enforcement officers will be issuing citations and fines for individuals violating the Navajo Nation’s “Stay At Home” order.

The daily curfew requires all residents to be home between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am.
