SALT LAKE CITY-Per news released Friday, Music and The Spoken Word will premiere in Spanish Sunday June 25.

This broadcast will be available on YouTube and is being used by The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square to increase its influence and worldwide visibility.

The pilot episode of this historical program in Spanish will be narrated by four Spanish-speakers: Alex Melecio, Ana Yslas, Pepe Valle and Garna Mejia.

Mejia is of Mexican descent and has worked as a television journalist in both English and Spanish in Milwaukee, Yuma, Ariz. and Salt Lake City.

Bonneville Distribution has secured new television and radio stations in Mexico to broadcast Music and The Spoken Word in Spanish to over 30 million viewers.

Choir President Michael O. Leavitt also said a broadcast will be coming in Portuguese shortly.
