More Utahns Are Getting Medical Marijuana Cards

(Salt Lake City, UT) — People getting and carrying medical marijuana cards is on the rise in Utah. A recent state health department report shows that as of late March, more than 83-thousand people possess these cards. The report states this is a 19-percent increase over the past year. In Utah, persons seeking a card must be 21 years of age or older and have one of fifteen qualifying medical conditions. Medical cannabis is a growing industry in the state, generating about 138-million dollars in sales revenue in 2023.
