SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, the latest statistics for covid-19 in the Beehive State were updated by the state department of health.
Since statistics have been kept, there have been 44,390 recorded cases of covid-19. This is an increase of 263 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 113 in the same span.
There have been 574,560 Utahns tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 3,947 Utahns in the past 24 hours.
This caused the positive test percentage to drop to 7.72 percent. Sunday, this was at 7.73 percent. The 24-hour positive test percentage dropped to 6.66 percent Monday. Sunday, this number was at 8.83 percent.
There have been 34,319 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 405 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 394 in the same span.
Currently, 77.3 percent of all cases of covid-19 in Utah are recovered.
There are presently 9,726 active cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is a decrease of 151 in the past 24 hours.
21.9 percent of all covid-19 cases in Utah are active per Monday’s report.
The differential between recovered and active cases in Utah is +24,593. This is an increase of 556 in the past 24 hours.
There have been 2,642 hospitalizations recorded for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 22 in the past 24 hours.
There are presently 193 current hospitalizations. This is a decrease of three in the past 24 hours, dropping the positive test percentage to 7.30 percent. Sunday, this was at 7.48 percent.
There are presently 79 cases in ICU, or 40.9 percent of those who are currently hospitalized. ICU is 60 percent occupied per Monday’s totals.
There have been 346 deaths attributed to covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 10 in the past 24 hours.
This increased the covid-19 death percentage to 0.779 percent Monday. Sunday, this was at 0.761 percent.
In Wasatch County, there are five new recorded cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This increases the net case total to 568 cases. The hospitalizations (21) and deaths (4) attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County remain unchanged in the past 24 hours.
The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
