Med Students At University of Utah Volunteering To Assist in Drive For Medical Supplies

SALT LAKE CITY-Students at the University of Utah School of Medicine are volunteering their skills and time to assist in a drive to collect personal protective equipment.

Each weekend in April, these students will be at various locations to fulfill their goal.

Friday-Sunday April 3-5, this drive will be in the additional parking lot at Trolley Square, located at 650 E. 600 South in Salt Lake City from 10:00 am-3:00 pm.

Residents of the community are encouraged to donate:

-N-95 respirator masks and other face masks (surgical masks, masks used by carpenters, painters and so on)

-medical or disposable gloves

-eye protection goggles (no swim goggles please)

-face shields

-medical or disposable gowns

-hand sanitizer (of all sizes)

-disinfectant wipes

Original or unopened items are preferred but not required. Open boxes are acceptable but please do not donate used gloves or masks.

Subsequent locations for this drive throughout April include:

-April 10-12, West High School, 240 N. 400 West, Salt Lake City, 10:00 am-3:00 pm

-April 17-19, Herriman Library Branch, 5380 W. Main, Herriman. 10:00 am-3:00 pm

-April 24-26, Rio Tinto Stadium, 60 W. 9400 South, Sandy, 12:00 am-4:00 pm
