Legislative Interim Committee Meetings Being Held In St. George

(St. George, UT) — Southern Utah is playing host to Utah lawmakers this week. The state Legislature will be holding its interim committee meetings at Utah Tech University in St. George starting today, with more meetings scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday. Officials noted this will be the first time all interim meetings are held away from the Utah State Capitol Complex. The aim of moving the meetings to another location is to give people a chance to attend who otherwise may not be able to. Legislative leaders hailed southern Utah for its “key role” in the state’s success and how it is a major aspect of Utah’s “strong economy.”
