The Canadian billionaire is behind the massive data center that’s being planned for Box Elder County. O’Leary suggested a handful of his critics in Utah had ties to the Chinese Communist Party. He made the comments on Fox News over the summer, and the defamation lawsuits were later filed against O’Leary and Fox. They’re both trying to get the lawsuits tossed on grounds that O’Leary was stating an opinion. The day after O’Leary made claims about the data center critics, Fox News issued an apology and tried to distance themselves from O’Leary.
