WASATCH COUNTY, Utah-Because of the outbreak of COVID-19, or the coronavirus, numerous postponements and cancellations have occurred for various scheduled activities throughout the Heber Valley.
The Homestead Job Fair, slated for Wednesday at the Homestead Resort of Miway has been canceled, as has been the QPR Class Thursday evening at Timpanogos Middle School in Heber City.
The Heber Valley Railroad has postponed rides and will not be running scheduled trains from March 16-21.
The Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt, slated for March 21, has also been canceled.
The Heber City stakes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have also canceled the Just Serve food drive slated for March 21.
The Adult Prom night, previously slated for March 21 at Wasatch High School, has been canceled.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has also canceled or postponed several activities.
The DWR has canceled the following activities:
-mountain goat viewing at Rock Creek in northeastern Utah March 28
-turkey hunting clinic at the Eccles Education Wildlife Center March 28
-turkey hunting clinic at Monticello March 28
The DWR has postponed these activities:
-Learn to Fish Utah Lake Event at the DWR Central region office of Springville March 12
-Walleye seminar at the DWR Salt Lake City office March 19
