Heber Valley Animal Services Supervisor Justin Hatch received the 2021 Utah Animal Control Officers Association’s Officer of the Year Award.
Supervisor Hatch has given a huge effort to branding and running the animal services department for over 21 years.
During this time he was tasked with rebranding the department. This included designing new uniforms and vehicle logos, educating citizens on animal services, and obtaining grants for equipment and food for the shelter animals.
Supervisor Hatch was able to establish a great partnership with Paws For Life, and was successful with them to form a Trap & Neuter program, among other things. He was also a key figure in making the animal shelter a no kill facility. He currently serves on the local animal services board, and was president of the Utah Animal Control Officers Association.
Congratulations Supervisor Hatch on your award, and thank you for a job well done!
