Groundbreaking of the Salta Argentina Temple Further Postponed

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed the groundbreaking of the Salta Argentina Temple would be further postponed because of covid-19.

This ceremony, which had been pushed back to October 9, has been further postponed to November 2020.

This event will be presided over by South America South Area President Elder Benjamin de Hoyos.

The Salta Temple was announced in the April 2018 General Conference by Church President Russell M. Nelson and upon its dedication will be the third temple in Argentina.

Other Argentinian temples are located in Buenos Aires (1986; re-dedication: 2012) and Cordoba (2015). Other temples in Argentina have been announced for Bahia Blanca and Mendoza.
