Friday Stats For COVID-19 In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, the latest statistics for COVID-19 in Utah were released by the Utah Department of Health.

Since statistics have been kept, there have been 28,223 cases for COVID-19 recovered in the Beehive State.

This is an increase of a record 867 cases in the past 24 hours or a net increase of 266 cases in the same span.

Presently, there are 16,261 recovered cases of COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 600 in the past 24 hours, also a state-record. This is a net increase of 117 recoveries in the same span.

Currently, 57.6 percent of all cases of COVID-19 in Utah are recovered.

There are presently 11,756 active cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 265 cases in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 150 cases in the same span. Presently, 41.65 percent of all cases of COVID-19 in Utah are active.

There have been 395,974 total tests administered for COVID-19 in Utah. This is a net increase of 7,241 total tests in the past 24 hours. This increased Friday’s overall positive test percentage to 7.03 percent.

The 24-hour positive test percentage tremendously shrank Friday, checking in at 11.97 percent. Thursday, this was at 20.2 percent.

Since statistics have been kept, there have been 1,748 recorded hospitalizations for COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is a net increase of 48 in the past 24 hours.

Of those who are currently hospitalized, there was a net increase of five in the past 24 hours.

With 182 current hospitalizations for COVID-19 in Utah, the current hospitalization percentage is at 10.41 percent. This is exactly where it was Thursday, interestingly enough.

There are 79 current COVID-19 hospitalizations in ICU. This is an increase of five and rose the ICU percentage to 43.4 percent Friday. Thursday, this was at 41.8 percent.

Presently, there have been 207 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This represents four new deaths in the past 24 hours, but the lowest death rate in the nation dropped even lower, to 0.00733 percent. Thursday, this was at 0.00744 percent.

Wasatch County saw six new cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the net case total to 448 cases. There have been 20 hospitalizations and four deaths in Wasatch County since statistics began being kept. These numbers each remain unchanged for Wasatch County in the past 24 hours.
