SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, statistics were updated for the state of Utah by the state department of health.
There are 61,775 all-time cases of covid-19. This represents a new record of 1,117 cases in a 24-hour period.
Of these, 50,492 are recovered, or 81.73 percent. There are 10,846 active cases, or 17.56 percent of all cases.
There are 131 current hospitalizations, or 3.8 percent of all-time covid-19 hospitalizations who are currently hospitailzed.
Of the 131 current hospitalizations, 52 are in ICU or 39.7 percent. ICU is 71 percent occupied in Utah.
There are no new deaths Friday in Utah. This drops the percentage to 0.707 percent.
Wasatch County saw five new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the total to 692. Hospitalizations (31) and deaths (7) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours in Wasatch County.
The last death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.
