Four Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temples To Advance To Phase 4 of Reopening

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed four temples are advancing to Phase 3 of reopening effective December 21.

Under the Church’s reopening protocol for temples, Phase 3 consists of temples being open for all ordinances only with restrictions.

This entails the following:

-the continuation of performing ordinances for living individuals

-performing limited ordinances on behalf of deceased individuals

-open patron housing, clothing and cafeteria operations

These temples are as follows:

-Nuku’alofa, Tonga Temple

-Apia Samoa Temple

-Brisbane Australia Temple

-Taipei Taiwan Temple

The following four temples will begin Phase 2 of reopening December 14.

-Melbourne Australia Temple

-Merida Mexico Temple

-Tampico Mexico Temple

-Villahermosa Mexico Temple

The Panama City Panama Temple will begin Phase 1 of reopening December 14
