LOGAN, Utah-Per Monday news from the Utah State athletic department, former Aggies linebacker Kyle Gallagher died last week in a car crash at the age of 33.

Gallagher, who played for the Aggies from 2007-2011, posted three sacks, two forced fumbles and 13 tackles for a loss during his Utah State career.

The Woodland, Calif. native helped lead the Aggies to the end of a 14-year bowl drought in 2011 when Utah State fell 24-23 to Ohio in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

The 2011 Aggies won 7 games, the highest win total at Utah State in a season since 1979 prior to that point.
