Former Heber City Nursing Assistant Is Charged With Attempted Rape

(Heber City, UT) — A 20-year-old certified nursing assistant at an assisted living facility in Heber City is facing charges that he sexually abused two patients who prosecutors say “were in the last, severe stages of dementia.” On Monday, Jayden Parker Sever of Heber City, was charged in 4th District Court with attempted rape and object rape, both first-degree felonies. Sever worked full time as a CNA and caregiver at Spring Gardens Senior Living from October to March. The investigation into the assaults began after Sever told a relative about “inappropriately touching a resident.” Investigators say that Sever was let go from the center on March 6th for unrelated reasons. A court date is not yet scheduled. A motion requesting he be detained without bail has been entered.
