Endangered Missing Advisory Issued for 5-Year-Old in Utah

(Bountiful, UT) — Authorities in Bountiful have issued an endangered missing advisory for a five-year-old boy. Police say James Despain is believed to have been taken by his father, Benjamin Despain, without custody. James was last seen wearing a gray astronaut shirt with a rocket and green pants. He is three-feet-11-inches tall, weighs 47 pounds, and has blonde hair. Authorities say the father may be traveling in a 2006 red Toyota Tacoma with Utah plate 255-PCJ and a white Forest River trailer, plate 017-431Z. James’ mother has sole custody and says Benjamin could have taken him to Idaho, St. George, or “back east.” James was picked up for visitation at 5:30 p.m. in Bountiful, but did not return to Murray, where the father’s residence is located.
