GETTYSBURG, Pa.-During remarks at the 2023 Braver Angels Convention Thursday, Elder Ahmad S. Corbitt, a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stated the Book of Mormon specifically contains heart-wrenching stories so we do not repeat the mistakes of those whose lives are documented in the book.

Elder Corbitt also accentuated remarks from Church President Russell M. Nelson to be peacemakers and search for unity.

New York-based Braver Angels (2016-present), is a nonprofit seeking to ameliorate political polarization in the United States of America.

The convention consisted of 700 people, equally divided between right-leaning and left-leaning Americans, and three days of discussion and debate at Gettysburg, Pa.
