REXBURG, Idaho-Thursday, a press release confirmed Elder David A. Bednar of The Quorum of Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at BYU-Idaho spring commencement exercises July 19.

Elder Bednar will address 2,802 graduates and many guests at the Rexburg-Idaho-based campus of Brigham Young University.

The press release states BYU-Idaho will award 2,069 bachelor’s degrees and 830 associate degrees.

1,613 graduates this year are women and 1,128 are men. Of the graduates, 1,128 are online students (40.3 percent) and 1,208 graduates (43.1 percent) started their careers through BYU Pathway worldwide.

BYU-Idaho was founded November 12, 1888 and was previously known as Ricks College.
